Clinical Trials and Observed Results
- The inhibitory effect on melanin symptom is about 35 more in Oxyresveratrol compared to Kojic acid and 10/12 times that of Licorice extract, which are the most common ingredients of skin whitening formulations.
- Oxyresveratrol showed the shortest onset significant whitening effect after 4 weeks, which Kojic acid should significant whitening after 6 weeks and Licorice extract in 10 weeks.
- Whitening effect with oxyresveratrol continuously increased with treatment duration. Percentage whitening was 1% in 1 week , 1.5% in 2 weeks, 2.23% in 3 weeks and attained steady value of 2.78% after 12 weeks.
